Letter from the CEO

Through the social distancing of the pandemic, and with our added Together Center community separation of temporary physical relocation for the duration of construction of the new Together Center campus, we have jokingly been calling ourselves “Separate Center.” We can’t wait to be back together on our new campus in 2023!

But all joking aside, this time of distance has only highlighted for us the deep value and benefits of being co-located at Together Center. With Together Center housing over 20 human service provider organizations when we come back together on the new campus, our community will again get to experience the benefits of togetherness.

Kim Sarnecki, CEO, Together Center

Founded in 1991, Together Center was the first co-located human services hub in the nation. We effect broader systems change via an innovative solution – leveraging infrastructure to strategically co-locate effective but historically siloed nonprofit service providers who, as a group, provide solutions for most essential human service needs.

Today Together Center is a compassionate network of diverse human service providers meeting a range of interdependent needs, all under one roof. Co-locating these diverse but otherwise fragmented providers means they can more effectively collaborate, cross-refer, and work together to close service gaps. In turn, with one trip to a single location 3 blocks from the Redmond Transit Center, our neighbors in need can access a full range of strategically co-located supports and significantly lowered barriers to accessing the help they need.

For people accessing services at Together Center, they have the opportunity to receive connections, resources, and services including healthcare, dental care, pharmacy services, advocacy and empowerment for people living with disabilities, substance abuse treatment, case management, counseling, support groups, physical and occupational therapies for children and their families, childcare resources, cultural navigation and translation, workforce education, and affordable housing resources.

For human service providers onsite at Together Center, we have missed seeing each other regularly, encouraging each other, working together to best serve clients, and building relationships and trust to enable more and better collaboration to improve outcomes. Luckily, we have been able to work together via video, and in our temporary relocation sites to continue to make human services accessible and to plan for our new facilities!

Working with our human service provider partners, we have designed exciting community benefits for the new Together Center, including a welcoming public lobby, suites in which to best provide services, community gathering kitchen, multicultural event and gathering spaces, a social-purpose coworking area, an indoor/outdoor lounge for nonprofit worker respite, and a small community art gallery.

We cannot wait to share all of this with you, our community.

Onward together,

Kim Sarnecki

Together Center CEO
