Just One Hour for Gun Violence Prevention!
Rally at the Rotary
the 14th of Each Month, 11:30 - 12:30
Hyannis Rotary, Airport Road
Why Do We Rally at the Rotary?
The Rally at the Rotary began as a tribute in 2012
to the children killed at Sandy Hook.
It has continued every year since then, once a month,
on the anniversary date, the 14th, as a memorial to them
and a reminder to each and every one of us,
and every person that passes us there,
that the fight against gun violence is far from over.
Massachusetts stands as one of the highest ranked states in the nation
for common sense gun legislation and we are safer for it.
But the other reasons we rally there are that the rally
-
Highlights Freedom of Speech and Assembly
-
Encourages standing up and speaking out for positive change
-
Raises the issue to some who may not be fully aware
-
Starts a conversation and encourages membership
-
Sends a message to public officials and to people
who would oppose common sense gun legislation
WE INVITE YOU TO JOIN US AT THE ROTARY!
You do not need to be a member; everyone is welcome
to bring their appropriate signage to use ours.
We hold the rally on the 14th of most months from April through December,
usually from 11:30 AM to 12:30 PM,
at the Hyannis Rotary in front of the airport.
