What's the Conference Theme? +

“From Policy to Practice” is our theme this year. Knowing the rules of 3SquaresVT is really important for helping people get the support and information they need. When the rules and process are easy to understand, it makes it easier for people to apply for benefits and get what they're entitled to. Understanding the federal landscape of opportunity to strengthen and improve SNAP policy is important, too, so we can collectively work to ensure 3SquaresVT works for EVERYONE who qualifies in Vermont.

By emphasizing the importance of both policy and practice, the 3SquaresVT conference seeks to enhance understanding, collaboration, and innovation in the program.

Is this conference for me? +

This conference is for a broad range of people with varied levels of knowledge in the world of 3SquaresVT. There will be many access points for folks wanting to build up existing knowledge, and for folks who are just starting their work to understand the program.

In the past, we’ve had attendees (and speakers!) join us from community action agencies, area agencies on aging, food shelves, schools and universities, health clinics and hospitals, farmers and growers, shelters, veterans organizations, housing authorities, childcare centers and more.

Is it free? +

Yes! There is no charge to attend either the virtual conference or the regional outreach gatherings.

Who hosts the conference? +

The 3SquaresVT virtual conference and regional outreach gatherings are hosted collaboratively by Hunger Free Vermont & Department for Children and Families Economic Services Division with funding from the USDA.
