Self-Guided

Rides!

Looking for a bike ride you can do on your own while learning something new? Check out our series of self-guided rides with points of interest featuring what makes Los Angeles a special place to call home.

Our Family-Friendly Rides are 12 miles or less and include a lot of bicycle infrastructure, such as bike paths and lanes. The points of interest also feature more kid-friendly content.

Our rides in the Intersections Series are on the longer side (12-30 miles), are for riders comfortable sharing the road with traffic and feature content that delves deeper into the history of Los Angeles. These rides focus on content viewed from an intersectional lens as it relates to gender, race, ability level and socioeconomic status.

Below you'll find Route Overviews for each ride, which feature a cuesheet for directions, points of interest, a link to the Ride with GPS route and a link to the ride on izi.Travel.

izi.Travel is a museum audio guide that incorporates turn by turn directions and the points of interest all in one place. You can also download the tour ahead of time.

Sign up for our newsletter to receive the rides as they are published. Rides are published at the end of the month in our bi-weekly newsletter, The NewsCycle. For more information on these rides or to provide feedback, please email info@bike-la.org.
