Thank you for your interest in joining us for the 30th anniversary of Bangor Pride! This year Bangor Pride will be returning to Downtown Bangor on June 25th 2022, with a parade and festival taking place in West Market Square and Norumbega Park.

The parade will take place from 11am - 12pm, and the festival portion of the day will take place from 12pm - 4pm.

After filling out your volunteer application and being approved, you will receive complete volunteer guidelines and instructions from HEAL/Bangor Pride. Volunteers will be expected to attend a volunteer onboarding session via Zoom provided by HEAL/Bangor Pride.

Parade Coordinator: Check-in groups as they arrive, assist groups in finding their assigned place in the lineup.

Parade Wrangler: Walk with the parade and support parade flow with crowd management and other tasks as needed throughout the route.

Safety and Security: Maintain a presence at the parade and festival and be available to help diffuse malicious dialogue and actions through peaceful means, assist attendees by answering security or safety questions, and helping to maintain control of crowds while maintaining communication with other safety team members.

First Aid Staff: Support festival guests with minor medical needs (band aids, water, shade).

Set-Up Staff: Help transport materials around the festival area to their designated spaces, assist vendors/organizations in finding their assigned slots, and supporting additional tasks in the festival area as needed

Tear-Down Staff: Help clear out festival area of supplies and materials to help staff and tabling organizations return the area to its original condition
