Over the past 25 years we have provided special arts grants to numerous artists and organizations. We extend our gratitude to the National Endowment for the Arts, the National Endowment for the Humanities, Arts Midwest, the Illinois Arts Council, the Illinois Humanities Council, the Arts Alliance Illinois, the Neil and Mary Ellen Dillard Fund, and our private donors for their significant contributions and support of our vision, mission, and values.

CALL FOR ART

The Narrative Art Exhibition is open to artworks whose main goal is to tell a story. These narratives could be inspired from history, mythology, literature, or a personal experience. The exhibition is open to 2D and 3D art mediums including: painting, drawing, printmaking, photography, mixed media sculpture, glass, wood, ceramics, and digital media.

We invite artists to use this call for entry as an inspiration to make a new piece, or to examine their collection for pieces that are applicable to the theme. Narrative art often has a subject, an action and a setting, allowing the viewer an opportunity to discover the story through visual based imagery. Artists are invited to submit 1-3 artworks, in any medium. Our goal is to showcase artwork with strong elements of storytelling. Narrative Art will be on view at Artspace 304 from April 16 – May 30th.
