Trump Launches His Own Twitter-Like Platform on His Personal Website

“In a time of silence and lies, a beacon of freedom arises. A safe place to speak freely and safely straight from the desk of Donald J. Trump.”

Welcome to From the Desk of Donald J. Trump.

Former President Donald Trump launched his own Twitter-like platform on his personal website DonaldJTrump.com.

It looks like Trump has been (um, how do I describe this, tweeting?) writing since the end of April.

But the official launch happened on May 4 with a video:

In a time of silence and lies, a beacon of freedom arises. A safe place to speak freely and safely straight from the desk of Donald J. Trump.

Fox News reported that Campaign Nucleus, the “digital ecosystem made for efficiently managing political campaigns and organizations,” powers the platform. Brad Parscale, his former campaign manager, created this platform.

What other word should I use besides platform? Desk, I guess?

The website has shared links to Twitter and Facebook along with a heart button to like a post.

Right now you cannot comment on the posts or communicate with other Trump supporters or haters.

You know once that becomes available the haters and trolls will roll on it because the haters are just as stuck on him as his followers.

Call it Trumpet. :O

If it goes public access, I’d recommend a nominal fee for creating an account, like $3. To help maintain things and discourage drive-by trolling.

I hope he keeps the comments closed. Other site can just like to his message and run with it. They can control the trolls

He ought to drop the election topic. Fraud or not, the swearing in ceremony takes precedence.

The more pressing need is Don Rickles type zingers disparaging the administration and its toadies.

I think there is room to work in some Rodney Dangerfield type of “I don’t get no respect.”

One thing I don’t like about Trumps website are links to Facebook and Twitter.

It is great that he has the site up, but it should also have comment links to Gab and Parler

Bookmarked it, and I will agree with JusticeDelivered that he should, hopefully soon, add links to more free speech friendly sites rather than just Facebook and Twitter.

Having his own personal site up will make it harder for the tech giants to shut him up completely. The best they can do for now is probably just ban linking to his site on their platforms. I do hope his site is well protected against hacking and DDOS attacks, you know they’ll be coming.

President Trump lamented the “sad commentary on our times that one political party in America is given a free pass to denigrate the rule of law, defame law enforcement, cheer mobs, excuse rioters, and transform justice into a tool of political vengeance, and persecute, blacklist, cancel and suppress all people and viewpoints with whom or which they disagree. I always have, and always will, be a champion for the unwavering rule of law, the heroes of law enforcement, and the right of Americans to peacefully and honorably debate the issues of the day without malice and without hate. This has been yet another phase of the greatest witch hunt in the history of our Country. No president has ever gone through anything like it, and it continues because our opponents cannot forget the almost 75 million people, the highest number ever for a sitting president, who voted for us just a few short months ago. Our historic, patriotic and beautiful movement to Make America Great Again has only just begun. In the months ahead I have much to share with you, and I look forward to continuing our incredible journey together to achieve American greatness for all of our people. There has never been anything like it! We have so much work ahead of us. And soon we will emerge with a vision for a bright, radiant, and limitless American future.” President Trump

Perfect. Now he needs to start a couple radio and television stations, and a newspaper. And control what goes into them.

Hate to be the one who brings this up but all he did was make a system for him so he could return to his favorite food (his own feet).

If he had not been on twitter from Jan 20th 2016, or facebook he would still be president.

I suck at social media to, but the difference is I’m not trying to be the second man to serve two non-consecutive presidential terms (the fact that Trump would only be the 2nd shows that is extremely difficult).

Now he is making it so those bleep tweets at 2 am will come back and those did contribute to his defeat a lot.

President Trump is not familiar with the Communist ways, and I feel that he fell right into the trap. As a good American, he believed in the right to protest when he ‘lost’ the elections.. The Dem/Communists had already prepared the field to start trouble in the middle of the protest and then accuse him of inciting violence. The oldest trick in the Communist book! From then on, everything was lost for the President; he handed his election to them in a silver plate. It’s heart breaking.
