New Agents of Discovery Explores Scenic Conservation in Washington, DC

Scenic America has launched a new interactive game designed to educate young learners about scenic conservation while exploring notable landmarks in the nation’s capital, either virtually or in person.

Built on the Agents of Discovery platform, the mission, entitled, “Scenic America Presents: Scenic Conservation in Washington, DC,” invites users to learn about the importance of preserving and protecting scenic beauty while visiting the Tidal Basin in Washington, DC, home to the Thomas Jefferson Memorial, Franklin Delano Roosevelt Memorial, Martin Luther King, Jr., Memorial, as well as many of the city’s iconic cherry trees.

Using the Agents of Discovery app, players are presented with a series of questions and challenges designed to demonstrate key principles of scenic conservation. The missions are designed with middle-school-aged students in mind but are accessible for families and learners of all ages.

To complement the mission, educators and parents can explore Scenic America’s scenic education curriculum to enhance the learning experience.
