UU Justice NC is Seeking Nominations for New Board Members!

UU Justice NC is The Unitarian Universalist Justice Ministry of North Carolina. We joyfully organize UUs to contribute to a transformative movement for justice through collaboration, spiritual grounding and imagination.
We have particular interest in nominees/ applicants who have the following skills and/or experiences:
- Personally engaged in justice organizing to fight systems of oppression and build towards collective liberation.
- Identify as, or work closely with Black/Indigenous/ communities of color, LGBTQIA+ communities, poor and/or rural communities.
- Has direct experience leading organizing and strategy work, antiracism work, fundraising, organizational development or storytelling.
- Is a UU lay person residing in North Carolina.
About our Board
- The UU Justice NC board meets 10-months out of the year (on Zoom) in addition to an annual 1-day retreat.
- The term is 2 years, with the possibility of a second term.
- This is a governing board which holds the mission and vision of the organization. It is not a working board that has direct involvement in the planning and implementation of programming.
- Our organization is in a moment of growth and the board plays a critical role in the long-term growth, health, and financial sustainability of the organization.
