Join us for TWO days of powerful training, networking and campaign strategy planning on Feb 2-3, 2020 hosted by a coalition of state and local organizations in WV.  Read about both days below and then sign up here for either day or both days.  These events are especially for local grassroots groups and campaigns in West Virginia, or people who want to start local grassroots groups or campaigns. But all are invited!

Scholarships are available to help with transportation, meals and the overnight stay.  To apply, first register below, then you will be directed to a scholarship form.

Sunday, Feb 2:  “Power to the People” Electoral Strategy Day

2020 is our big chance to shift the political balance in West Virginia and push our elected leaders to stand up work for working people.  There are lots of ways to get involved.  At this "Power to the People" Electoral Strategy Day, we'll talk about the "lay of the land" for local and state elections in 2020, and how to:
Push the people's issues (like healthcare and education) using the elections
Research and vet candidates and inform the public about where they stand
Build slates and other ways of promoting multiple candidates at once
Run a killer get-out-the-vote effort
Build power for your local organizations to make change!

Monday, Feb 3:  Grassroots WV Local Campaigns & Lobby Day

We can make a difference by pushing our local and state leaders to take action on issues like environmental justice and healthcare for all, .  It all starts with talking to our neighbors and helping them take action. Are you thinking about organizing a local campaign on an issue?  At this Grassroots WV Local Campaigns day you can:
Get ideas and strategies to run local campaigns 
Find out how to build power by reaching out to your neighbors
Network with other groups working on similar issues locally
Lobby on some important state bills that support your issue
Hosted by: WV Citizen Action Education Fund, WV Rivers Coalition, WV Working Families Party and other partners, with sponsorship from Our Future WV

Note:

Feb 2 is a 501(c)4 day of electoral planning, training and strategy.  We will be talking about how to support candidates in the elections who will stand up for working families on our platform issues.

Feb 3 is a 501(c)3, nonpartisan day of networking and action on issues. We will NOT be talking about how to work with or support candidates on this day.
