All summer, we've brought you beach advisories and water news through our Weekly Water Watch newsletter. We hope you've had a chance enjoy Iowa's waterways and maybe even explore someplace new. Now, before we fully turn towards fall, we want to celebrate Iowa's special summer recreation spaces and places with you.
Join us for our free End of Summer Beach Bash at Bobber's Grill on the shore of Coralville Lake from 5:30 - 7:00 pm on Wednesday, September 7. Snacks and beverages will be available for purchase.
Starting at 6, we'll host a short program to recap what happened over the summer in Iowa water news, talk about beach advisories, and share ways you can get involved in the effort to improve Iowa's beaches and lakes. Attendees will also have a chance to win an IEC and Mississippi River Network-themed prize at the end of the event!
Attendance is free, but please RSVP by September 6.
Questions? Contact Alicia Vasto at vasto@iaenvironment.org.
We look forward to seeing you there!
Thanks to the Mississippi River Network for supporting this Iowa Water Watch event!
