Alliant Energy requests rate increase for both gas and electric customers in Iowa

THE COMPANY SUBMITTED A REQUEST TO THE IOWA UTILITIES BOARD TO RAISE RATES FOR BOTH ELECTRIC AND GAS CUSTOMERS. Alliant Energy customers may see higher energy bills in the near future.The company submitted a request to the Iowa Utilities Board to raise rates for both electric and gas customers.If approved, electric customers would see an increase of roughly $10 each month starting October 2024, with another $7 hike in October 2025. Alliant Energy customers may see higher energy bills in the near future.
