PADDLING/SHUTTLE INFORMATION

If you are using an Iowa Project AWARE canoe, please indicate the day(s) that you actually plan to use it. If you are arriving in the afternoon, you will not need a canoe on that day, or if you are departing in the morning, you will not need a canoe for that day.
If you are bringing a tandem canoe, but you wish to paddle solo, select Solo Canoe. If you are bringing a tandem kayak, but you wish to paddle solo, select Solo Kayak. If you plan to paddle with a partner, select Tandem Canoe or Tandem Kayak.
The use of an appropriately sized, inherently buoyant, Personal Flotation Device (PFD/Life Jacket) is mandatory for any event activities involving or related to water. NO SELF/AUTO INFLATING PFDs are allowed. It is recommended that you bring your own PFD. If you select "no," an orange "keyhole" style PFD will be provided to you. Although uncomfortable, they can still save your life and their use is required.
Shuttle services will be available from the Ankeny and Mount Pleasant areas Sunday, July 7th. Volunteers who are participating the entire week are encouraged to use these services. These shuttles will transport volunteers and their gear from the shuttle meeting locations to Lake Darling State Park (111 Lake Darling Road, Brighton, IA 52540) for the start of the event. Shuttle Information
POST-event shuttles will be available to shuttle volunteers from the Mount Pleasant area back to Ankeny after the conclusion of the event.
