GRAMA Requests
The Government Records Access and Management Act (GRAMA) provides people the right to request records from any governmental entity in Utah. (Utah Code Section 63G-2-20(1)). Under the Central Wasatch Commission’s Resolution No. 2018-24, a records officer will coordinate recordkeeping, records access and management, and related archive activities as required by GRAMA including proper response for information and copies of records. GRAMA also allows the Central Wasatch Commission to charge a reasonable fee to cover the actual cost of providing a record. A GRAMA request must be submitted in writing and include the requester’s name, address, telephone number, and a specific description of the record(s) being requested (Utah Code Section 63G-2-204(1)). A request can be emailed to kaye@cwc.utah.gov, by U.S. mail, or in person.
