    ON APRIL 4, 2024, THE SENATE ADOPTED AMENDMENT #1 AND PASSED SENATE BILL 2932, AS AMENDED.

    AMENDMENT #1 revises the present law that requires any director of schools who is appointed by the local board of education elected by the general public to have a baccalaureate degree by, instead, requiring a director of schools who is appointed by the local board of education elected by the general public to have a baccalaureate degree and meet any other qualifications or requirements established by the local board of education.
