EPA Enviornmental Justice Mapping and Screening Tool

The EPA’s EJScreen tool is a mapping and screening tool that allows you to see the impact of environmental racism in your community. The EJ Indexes combine socio-economic data, demographic data, and pollutant levels to determine how impacted your community is by environmental racism. Simply select the EJ Index you’re interested in (such as Diesel Particulate Matter or Air Toxics Cancer Risk), and then type your address, zipcode, city, or county into the search bar in the top right to get a visual depiction of the impact of environmental racism in your community. If you need help using the EJScreen tool, please contact Olympia Fulcher at olympia.fulcher@the-mhi.org, or view the EPA’s documentation on how to use the tool here.
