Ask the candidates to commit to EVs

Plug In America has reached out to the declared presidential candidates, asking their views about electric vehicles and, specifically, if they will commit to a full transition of new plug-in electric cars and trucks by 2040.

But you can help us get the candidates’ attention! Please reach out to the candidates through their websites. If you live in Iowa or New Hampshire, try to see the candidates as they criss-cross your states and ask where they stand on plug-in vehicles. If you receive a response, contact us at info@pluginamerica.org and we will share in a future newsletter.

In the meantime, we will also periodically share their public statements on zero-emissions vehicles.

Gov. Jay Inslee has called for “100% zero emissions in new light- and medium-duty vehicles and all buses”.

Rep. Beto O’Rourke has laid out a plan to fight climate change, including “setting a trajectory to rapidly accelerate the adoption of zero-emission vehicles.”
