This week, Mary Holland, Children’s Health Defense president, and Polly Tommey, co-producer of “Vaxxed,” covered the latest headlines on COVID-19, Big Pharma and other issues, including the latest vaccine development news.

Mary and Polly discussed the timeline of COVID-19 vaccine approval for young children. First, the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) recommended the Moderna COVID-19 vaccine be administered to children ages 6 to 17, then to infants, despite questions about safety and efficacy.

Within several weeks, vaccinations for children under 5 became available. Vaccine Adverse Event Reporting System (VAERS) data show 1.3 million reports of vaccine injuries following COVID-19 vaccinations.

Also on tap this week: Polly reviewed the U.K.’s National Health Service childhood vaccination schedule.

More of this week’s highlights:

  • Florida is the only state in the nation that has not placed an order with the federal government for doses of the COVID-19 vaccine for young children, saying the distribution process is “convoluted.”
  • Moderna plans to test its COVID-19 vaccination on babies as young as 3 months old, the youngest age group studied to date.
  • A 29-year-old’s career as an air traffic controller ended following Pfizer COVID-19 vaccination. “This is really sad,” said Polly.
  • History shows the FDA and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention don’t always get it right the first time they declare a drug “safe” — in fact, sometimes they’re dead wrong. “An excellent article,” said Mary.
  • Eight months after his 19-year-old daughter Grace died in a hospital after receiving a combination of drugs, Scott Schara and his family continue to bring attention to why they think she died, and who’s responsible. “We have to be so careful in these hospitals,” said Polly.
  • Dr. Anthony Fauci, director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases, tested positive for COVID-19. Fauci, who is quadruple-vaxxed, was experiencing “mild symptoms.” “This whole thing is a total scam,” said Mary.
  • The World Health Organization (WHO) is working on a new name for monkeypox.
  • The EU signed an agreement with Bavarian Nordic for the supply of about 110,000 doses of vaccines against monkeypox. “They are getting ready for something we know is inevitable,” said Polly. “We all know what is coming.”
  • In Polly’s “top article of the week,” Dr. Joseph Mercola wrote about the World Economic Forum’s top 10 scary ideas, from mind control using sound waves to smartphones built into people’s clothing and bodies. “This is about complete dependence,” said Mary.
  • In exclusive interviews with The Defender, more commercial airline pilots discuss COVID-19 vaccine injuries and the “hostile” industry environment injured and unvaxxed pilots must navigate.
  • In Ireland, mandatory mask-wearing could be reintroduced.
  • The Minnesota Department of Health has confirmed two cases of measles in the state.
  • Codagenix Inc. announced that it had completed its Phase 1 clinical trial to evaluate a universal, live-attenuated, cell-based influenza vaccine candidate. “The level of injury from these shots is becoming more and more apparent,” said Mary.
  • Researchers advance the development of a potential Epstein-Barr virus vaccine.
  • U.S. healthcare giant Pfizer has invested €90.5 million to buy an 8.1% percent stake in a French vaccine company in a partnership to tackle Lyme disease. “There is so much money in this area,” said Mary.
  • A U.K. university reported cases of tuberculosis.  “This is typical media stuff,” said Polly.
  • Bird flu cases are on the rise again. Are backyard chickens to blame?
  • Around 40 African health ministers gathered virtually to discuss amendments to the statute of the Africa Centres for Disease Control and Prevention that would give it more autonomy. The African Sovereignty Coalition launched to resist developments that threaten the sovereignty of Africa. “Very exciting,” said Mary.
  • A judge assigned to hear two consolidated lawsuits challenging COVID-19 vaccine mandates in New York City said she would not step down from the case as the plaintiffs requested. Two other judges recused themselves after financial disclosures revealed they had investments in Pfizer and other vaccine makers.
