PyData Global Diversity Scholarship
One of PyData's goals is to increase the diversity and inclusion of underrepresented groups in software engineering, data science, and open source by creating unique opportunities for underrepresented groups to join and participate in the community. Underrepresentation can take many forms including gender,  geography, and race/ethnicity, but also being a first-generation student, a person between jobs or a single parent.

For PyData Global 2020, we are offering scholarship opportunities to those from underrepresented groups who may not otherwise attend the conference or who are looking to be part of a community within the PyData Global conference.

This scholarship includes a ticket to the conference (including talks, tutorials, and sprints) as well as access to special events for diversity scholars that may include:
- virtual space to connect with other diversity scholars
- speaker meet-and-greets
- open source organizer meet-and-greets

Note: The minimum ticket price is relatively low for PyData Global. Feel free to apply for a diversity scholarship if you are interested in being part of this group even if you can afford a ticket. There will be an option to donate your ticket price to PyData if you wish.
