About The Hotel

Capital Hilton is known as a premiere location in Washington, D.C. With the White House only two blocks away and the Congressional and lobbyists’ offices not much farther, a tradition of political and presidential events at the hotel was established at the onset from its days as the Statler Hotel. Listed on the National Register of Historic Places and a member of the Historic Hotels of America, travelers from all over the country and world visit to experience our historic hospitality.

Guest rooms, suites, and corridors were completely renovated in 2023. Layering art deco design with the hotel’s brutalist architecture, each new guest room will weave original design with the modern elements needed for today’s travelers.

The Metro is only a seven-minute walk from the Capital Hilton Hotel.

“This is ‘the big show’ for anyone working to end hunger in America. I’ve been attending for a decade, and I’m still learning something new every time. It’s easy to develop tunnel vision in our work; the policy conference opens up my thinking, and reminds me that I am part of a national movement. It can be frustrating building progress in what feel like regressive times. The policy conference renews my commitment, and reminds me how many others share it.”
