SIGN ON: Thank You Letter to Impacted Landowners
Please sign onto this letter thanking people, who after over a decade, are still fighting the Pacific Connector gas pipeline proposed on the land they call home by refusing to sign pipeline easements with Pembina/Jordan Cove LNG.

This letter is in response to the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission's decision to allow this Canadian fossil fuel corporation to use eminent domain to seize property of southern Oregonians. Now, even though the pipeline does not have permits for construction, people living on the pipeline route could receive notices at any day that Pembina is taking them to court for their land. If you would like to learn more about the landowner's fight or donate to help them pay for legal fees to fight off the pipeline please visit www.ourland-ourlives.org.

The No LNG Exports Coalition recognizes that there are many frontline communities, including local Indigenous communities who's traditional lands are threatened by this pipeline, are greatly impacted by this project and will continue to act in solidarity with those communities.

LETTER TEXT:

"Dear Property Owner Impacted by the Pacific Connector Pipeline,

Thank you for the many years you have spent fighting the gas export pipeline that is proposed on the land that you love. We know that you have spent a significant amount of time and energy in fighting a fight you did not choose.

We are writing to you as hundreds of Oregonians, from all walks of life, who support you in protecting your land from eminent domain by this Canadian fossil fuel company. We are incredibly grateful for the strength you have shown in continuing to fight for what is right and the financial sacrifices you have made.

When you stand up against the pipeline, not only are you protecting your land, you are protecting Oregon for all of us. You are protecting the rivers we float and fish, the woods we explore, and the beaches we visit with our families.

We understand the future holds much uncertainty for your families because of the threat of eminent domain. We fundamentally disagree with the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission’s decision that your land can be seized for a Canadian gas export project. If you choose to challenge eminent domain, we will do all we can to support you.

Oregonians will continue to stand with impacted landowners until this pipeline is gone for good. Almost 100,000 comments opposing the pipeline were submitted by people across the region to State and Federal agencies just in the last year. Over 1,000 people showed up to a rally in Salem last November to demand Governor Brown stand with you and other impacted communities by opposing Jordan Cove LNG. Over 3,000 people showed up to speak out against the pipeline at State Lands hearings in Klamath, Jackson, Douglas, and Coos Counties in early 2019.

You are not alone.

Our deepest gratitude,
