Washington’s 2020-2022 redistricting has concluded, so this site will remain dormant. Expect to see us again in 2028!

Thank you to everyone who helped shape our new, community-driven district maps!

Redrawing Washington State maps to represent the people

Community testimony

Hundreds of Washingtonians showed up to public meetings to say what they wanted to see in their new legislative and congressional districts. Overwhelmingly, community members told us that they wanted maps that keep communities of color together.

Now, specific municipal districts are going through their own maps. So we’re making sure their communities know about it and have a say in their futures right in their hometown.

Are you in Seattle? The City Council is going over maps right now! Join our Redistricting Justice Seattle coalition on July 11th (6-7:30pm) for a community mapping session!

What We Do

Redistricting Justice for Washington is a coalition of organizations across Washington State. We’re speaking up to ensure that the 2021 redistricting process represents people first, and protects the voting power of communities of color.

Our priorities for new districts are:

  • Protect and represent the interests of people and residents, not partisan interests

  • Keep communities of color together

  • Be accountable to  community input from across the state

Get Involved

We are organizing to make sure that community voices are heard - and that the Redistricting Commission is accountable to communities of color and tribal members. You can join to support our redistricting priorities, and stay updated on ways to get involved. Get plugged into an event, have a conversation with organizations in your area, or attend a public input hearing.
