ATLAS Week 2021: Sanctuary in Saint Louis
The Department of Languages, Literatures, & Cultures is partnering with the Inter-Faith Committee on Latin America (IFCLA) to host a virtual ATLAS week event "Sanctuary in Saint Louis" on Wednesday, April 14th, 2021, 3-4pm on Zoom. During this event, we will be screening a documentary about Alex García, a Honduran immigrant who spent 1,252 days living in sanctuary at Christ Church UCC in Maplewood (https://stl-ifcla.org/alex-belongs-here). After the screening of the half hour documentary, we will have a Q&A with the Executive Director of IFCLA, Sara John, and discuss ways to get involved in fighting for the rights of immigrants like Alex. You can submit questions with your RSVP and we will also take questions in the chat during the event.

If you are interested in attending this virtual event, please input your information below and you will be sent a Zoom link for the event. If you have any questions, contact Prof. Christy García (christina.garcia@slu.edu).
