Dr. Blum is chemist committed to clean water

Dr. Blum is a chemist, author, mountaineer, and the executive director of the Green Science Policy Institute. Notably, she was among the first team of women to scale Annapurna (one of the most dangerous peaks in the world), but her groundbreaking achievements as a chemist have made the world a safer place. Her work has limited the use of flame retardant, highly fluorinated, and other harmful chemicals in children’s sleepwear, furniture, electronics, and other products worldwide. She uses her inspirational story, strong vision, and good science to battle against the harmful chemicals in our homes to make healthier products, healthier people, and a healthier environment.
