The child care crisis is caused by unlivable wages. Pennsylvania lawmakers can fix this by tackling the child care teacher shortage head-on. They must establish and fund a program that will help providers better recruit and retain their staff.

Pennsylvania state child care funding continues to do little to improve accessibility and affordability for families and does nothing to address the child care staffing shortage.
