Mark your calendars! Earth Day is Thursday, April 22 and Metro Bike Share will be offering free 1-Rides all day long.

Use any Metro Bike Share kiosk, the Metro Bike Share app or the website to redeem this offer on Earth Day. Select 1-Ride, and enter promo code 4222021 to get the first 30 minutes of your ride free!

This offer is valid Thursday, April 22, 2021 only. The first 30 minutes of each ride are free. Rides are just $1.75 per 30 minutes thereafter. Convenience fees will apply for Smart Metro Bikes if locked outside of Smart Metro Bike stations. The Electric Metro Bike unlock fee is waived.

Got 5 minutes? Take the CATPlan survey! Your input is needed as Caltrans District 7 develops its first active transportation plan for Los Angeles and Ventura Counties.

The Caltrans District 7 Active Transportation Plan (D7 CAT Plan) will identify active transportation opportunities on or near the State Highway System to improve accessibility and neighborhood circulation for those who walk, bike, and use public transit.

Place pins on the online survey to help identify places where walking, biking and public transit access can be improved along or across the State Highway System. Go to survey.catplan.org and click “District 7” to take the survey by the end of April.

Metro Bike Share is committed to supporting Los Angeles County's essential workforce and we are continuously looking at ways to keep bike share affordable and accessible at this time.

Metro Bike Share is offering the 365-Day Pass at a discounted rate of $75/year to essential workers (Regular Price: $150). This is a 50% savings and the equivalent of a monthly membership cost of $6.25/month.

Essential workers who enroll receive 365 days of access to Metro Bikes across Los Angeles County. Membership includes unlimited 30-Minute Metro Bike Share rides and waives the unlocking fee for the Electric Metro Bike. Convenience fees for Smart Metro Bikes in North Hollywood apply.

COVID-19 Safety Reminders

Our field staff continues to work and maintain a bike share system that is safe, clean and reliable for those who need it. Please continue to practice the following safe riding habits when using Metro Bike Share:

😷 Wear a mask when in public, when using Metro Bike Share stations and while riding in places where it is consistently difficult to maintain a safe distance from others.
🧼 Always wash or sanitize your hands before and after your bike rides, and avoid touching your face.
📏 Practice physical distancing between yourself and others while riding and when using a bike share station.
🚫 Avoid large gatherings and gatherings of mixed households.
📱 To facilitate social distancing and minimize surface contact at stations, use the Metro Bike Share app to purchase passes and unlock Metro Bikes with your smartphone.
