Description

On April 25, 2019, the Cook County Board of Commissioners voted into law the Just Housing Amendment. Sponsored by Commissioners Johnson, Suffredin, Toboloski, Anaya, Sims, Miller, Arroyo, Moore, and Lowry, the Amendment to the Cook County Human Rights Ordinance creates housing protections for over one million Cook County residents.

Join the Just Housing Initiative as we celebrate the passing of the Just Housing Amendment and say "thank you!" to all those who showed their support of this major step towards justice, fairness, and keeping Cook County families together!

A short program will begin at 6:30pm to recognize and hear from those directly impacted by the ordinance, initiative coalition members, and Cook County Commissioners that supported the Amendment's passage. Refreshments will be served.
