Anthony Mawson and Ashley M. Croft authored a comprehensive review article in the journal Vaccines in which they investigate the role multiple vaccinations play in long-term health, including neurodevelopmental disorders, allergies, infections and neuropsychiatric disorders.

The paper also highlights past research on vaccine adverse events resulting from multiple childhood vaccines and multiple vaccines given to military personnel during the Gulf War.

Mawson and Croft hypothesize that multiple vaccines trigger the retinoid cascade that  initiates apoptotic hepatitis, which releases stored vitamin A compounds into circulation in toxic concentrations. Further, the authors link vitamin A toxicity to multiple adverse events following vaccination.

According to the review, in very low concentrations, vitamin A and its major metabolite retinoic acid contribute to immune function and to the process of immunization, whereas excess vitamin A increases the risk of adverse events, including common “side-effects” as well as chronic adverse outcomes.

The increasing rates of allergy, ear infections and neurodevelopmental disorders in countries with high rates of vaccination could be related to mass vaccination and to its impact on liver function and vitamin A metabolism, collectively representing endogenous manifestations of hypervitaminosis A.

This review article is an important contribution to the science around vaccine injury, especially injuries following multiple vaccinations — which given the bloated Centers for Disease Control and Prevention infant vaccination schedule is the rule and not the exception.

Mawson previously completed his own study of vaccinated versus unvaccinated children where he found relationships between vaccination status and multiple sequelae (pathological conditions resulting from a prior disease, injury or attack), including allergic rhinitis, eczema, otitis media, pneumonia and neurodevelopmental disorders.
