Our Mission and Empowerment

 

The Burmese Rohingya Community of Georgia, Inc. (BRCG) is a community-based nonprofit organization located in Atlanta, GA, USA. Our mission is to promote self-sufficiency and equity for immigrants, refugees, and the underprivileged through comprehensive health and social services, community development, cultural activities, capacity building, and advocacy. Also the mission of (BRCG) is to provide support and care for underpriviledged families in Atlanta, GA. We help refugees gain independent, healthy, and successful lives here in the United States by providing them with long-lasting support, educational programs, basic necessities, empowerment skills, and social services. We contribute to strengthening the bonds between Rohingya Community and American people alike by establishing a united community through effective interfaith partnership, tolerance, and respect to all the people.

We are here to fulfil our obligation to help these families become self-sufficient once again.

BRCG’s President Ayub Mohammad visited to Congressman Joe Welson’s office from South Carolina to meet him for the Rohingya ongoing genocide issue and co-sponsor HR-3190 Bill. On Rohingya Advocacy Day on June 19th, 2019 at Washington, D.C.

On Saturday, November 16, 2019, the Burmese Rohingya Community of Georgia held a special program to update the Atlanta community on the Rohingya crisis at the Georgia State University Clarkston Campus.

BRCG’s President Ayub Mohammad honored Human Rights Champion Award to honorable Congressman Hank Johnson 4th district Georgia on Rohingya crisis event at the Georgia State University Clarkston Campus on Saturday, November 16th, 2019.

BRCG Honored Human Rights Champion Award

BRCG’s Board Chairman Seraju Ahmed honored Human Rights Champion Award to Professor Wakar Uddin who serves as the Director General of the Arakan Rohingya Union and traveled from Pennsylania State University to support our community and provide an illuminating educational program on the Rohingya crisis. He continues to serve as an essential leader in the struggle for justice and peace for the Rohingya people on Rohingya crisis event at the Georgia State University Clarkston Campus on Saturday, November 16th, 2019.
