To visit, we recommend that visitors make an advance online registration.

The Westmoreland Museum of American Art is closed on these holidays: New Year’s Day, Easter, Juneteenth, Fourth of July, Thanksgiving, and Christmas Day

Additionally, the Museum will close at 3pm on:
The Day Before Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, and New Year’s Eve

*FREE Cantilever Tours from 1-2pm on Saturdays during featured exhibition runs.

Parking & Accessibility

Ample free parking is available with two parking lots located on site.
The Museum and gardens are ADA accessible.
There are wheelchairs available for use on a first-come, first-serve basis.

The Westmoreland Museum of American Art is situated upon the traditional lands of the Adena, Hopewell, Monongahela, Osage, Delaware, Shawnee, and Seneca-Cayuga peoples. We honor all of the indigenous nations and their land with great gratitude and acknowledge the genocide and continuous displacement of indigenous peoples.

On-Premise Photography Policy
and Promotional Photography Notice 

Visitors may take non-flash photography in the Museum galleries except when specifically noted otherwise. The Museum does not allow the use of photography equipment, such as tripods or selfie sticks.

The Westmoreland does not permit photography inside the Museum of individuals/couples/groups prior to school dances due to past safety issues and instances that put artwork at risk and/or caused disruption for Museum visitors. The Museum does welcome photography on the grounds and gardens when done in a respectful manner that will not cause harm to plantings and sculpture installations or block entrances and/or walkways. Thank you for abiding by this policy, which helps to ensure the safety of our visitors and staff.

Visiting the Museum or participating in the Museum’s programs or events constitutes an agreement by the visitor or participant and/or the parent or guardian to allow the Museum to photograph or film visitors or program participants, without compensation, for possible use in publicity.
