2020 Affordable Housing Month Event/Activity Submission Form (May 2020)
Affordable Housing Month's success comes from all of the fantastic events hosted by organizations across Santa Clara County that engage the community in the conversation around affordable housing. Check out some examples from last year here: https://bit.ly/30c4QyT

If you would like to host an event and be a featured part of Affordable Housing Month, please read through this information and submit the below form by April 17th. We ask that you please confirm logistical details by April 22nd. These events are meant to highlight your organization’s mission and work within the South Bay's housing ecosystem. Your organization is responsible for designing the event, managing logistics, and the initial outreach.

SV@Home will provide:
- General input, if desired, on how to think about your events focus and format
- Support in selecting a day and time to align timing with other events
- Event promotion as part of the official Affordable Housing Month branding, communications, and materials including email blasts, posts on our website and social media, outreach to elected officials and staff, and sharing with the SV@Home network

Things to consider when designing your event:

Does it identify a clear purpose that promotes affordable housing for all?

Does it promote or align with your organization’s mission?

Who is the audience? This could include a diverse range of interests from both inside the housing community, and others effected by the need for affordable housing including residents of affordable housing, local officials, labor, environmental justice and conservation, faith communities, youth development, transportation, local employers, public health, arts, and civil rights/social justice work

Have you identified a point person within your organization to coordinate the event?

Have you confirmed how your organization will handle the specific logistics of a virtual event?

All Affordable Housing Month events are virtual to comply with County Health Department guidelines. Please confirm here that you have identified a platform or other virtual/online tools that will allow you to host this event or activity.
