We need more progressive champions in Sacramento, and Lola Smallwood Cuevas is exactly that.


Lola Smallwood-Cuevas is an educator, labor organizer, and community advocate raised by a single mother. Lola is the co-founder of the LA Black Worker Center which works to increase access to quality jobs, reduce discrimination, and improve industries that employ Black workers. Lola is running to govern a California that ensures better education, good union jobs, and a pathway to self-sufficiency.
