2024 Banquet Fundraiser Information

Donations for Banquet Fundraiser

On May 4, 2024 the Oregon Wild Sheep Foundation will hold our 23rd annual fundraising banquet to raise money for wild sheep and habitat in Oregon. This banquet will take place at the River House Convention Center in Bend Oregon. We anticipate this to be our largest banquet ever, expecting to have 375-400 people in attendance. New for 2024 we have hired staff to handle clerking and checkout to make the process far more efficient for our attendees. Thankyou for your patience in 2023

Our 2023 Banquet was our most successful to date, raising just over $140,000 for wild sheep and habitat in Oregon. Your active participation is critical to our core mission of putting and keeping more sheep in the mountains of Oregon.

The raffles and auctions held at the banquet are our primary means of fundraising for the year; for these to be successful we need everyone’s help. You can help “Put More Sheep on the Mountain” by seeking donations from your local sporting goods store, other retailers, or service providers. Please let them know about our worthwhile cause and about how we will promote their business at our banquet.

Think of items you yourself would like to win such as firearms, fishing rods, camping gear, hand crafted items, and gift baskets.

We strive to keep this a high-quality event, so with that in mind, please consider new or very nice pre-owned items (particularly firearms or optics). If you have artwork or paintings those are desirable as well but need to be framed.

If you don’t have the time to solicit items, you can sponsor a specific raffle or auction item. We can also use cash donations to purchase desirable items through one of our partners.

Please mail, deliver in person, or make arrangements by March 31st to deliver items to us or a board member in your area.

Hopes & Dreams: The Opportunity Ewe

One of our board members, Marcus Gores, shared the experience and story of one of the most achievable sheep hunts in Oregon. We now want to share with you how to join the Wild Sheep Community and help with the conservation efforts to Put and Keep Wild Sheep on the Mountain.

We conserve wild sheep through outreach, restoration, and research.

The primary focus of Oregon Wild Sheep Foundation is to enhance the population, health and vitality of bighorn sheep herds in Oregon.

This objective is accomplished through educating Oregonians about North American wild sheep, funding projects aimed at conservation and game management, and protecting, defending and preserving the lawful right of recreational hunting as a method promoting Bighorn sheep conservation, habitat restoration and a means to safeguard the decline or extinction of any such indigenous species.
