Hello friends of UU the Vote/MUUSJA the Vote! We’re down to fewer than 100 days until arguably the most important election in our country’s history, and certainly in our own lifetimes. So, let’s meet up this coming Tuesday evening and share our next steps for taking action to align the outcome of this election with our UU values. We've also got some other items below for you to check out. Next Meeting Whether you’ve been to our meeting before, or it’s brand new to you, feel free to join us on Tuesday, 7/28 at 6 p.m. We’ll check in with what’s happening in our congregations and talk about our next action steps including our “Vote from Home” initiative. We’ll distribute a calendar that maps out the Vote from Home and Election Judge initiative timing as well. To Join our Zoom meeting, click here. Meeting ID: 835 1415 4364 Passcode: 160781 Support for MUUSJA Grant Application As you may know, we’ve been discussing applying for a grant from the Unitarian Universalist Funding Program to help us with our voter organizing work and are seeking congregations who are willing to indicate their support for this effort. We’ve linked to two items to help you make a decision – the text of the grant, and a template letter of support to download and edit. As always, a speedy decision and return of the letter of support is much appreciated. As you seek to make this decision it may be helpful to know that as of this writing, we have active congregational liaisons including the following: Twin Cities: First Universalist Church of Minneapolis, Unity Church – Unitarian, and First Unitarian Society of Minneapolis Greater MN cities: First Unitarian Universalist Rochester, UU Congregation of Duluth, and St. Cloud UU Fellowship Suburban metro: White Bear Unitarian Universalist Church, Mahtomedi; UU Church of Minnetonka, Wayzata; Minnesota Valley UU Fellowship, Bloomington; Michael Servetus Unitarian Society, Fridley; and Dakota UU Fellowship, Burnsville Greater Minnesota: UU Fellowship of Mankato, UU Fellowship of Northfield, and UU Church of Willmar |
