I’m a San Francisco Bay Area based freelance writer with a focus on Asian American culture, food, and education. My reporting has been featured on NPR, Public Radio International, and NBC Asian America. My essays have been published by Tin House, Catapult, Shondaland and more. I have pieces published in the anthologies Lavanderia: A Mixed Load of Women, Wash and Word and Mamas and Papas: On the Sublime and Heartbreaking Art of Parenting (City Works Press).

Currently, I’m writing a memoir-in-essays about the way food often takes the place of words to bridge language and culture gaps in my Taiwanese immigrant family (and seeking representation for the project).
