Over 500 Celebrate Grand Opening of Together Center

We’re back together!  On September 9^th, Together Center held a Grand Opening with our nonprofit human services provider partners and the surrounding community to celebrate the new campus. The morning’s ceremony and activities were a reflection of Together Center’s vision to bring people together and foster a sense of belonging in East King County.

Not your everyday ribbon cutting, Together Center’s version had all 22 nonprofits who call the 2.5-acre campus home simultaneously cutting their ribbons in one “better together” gesture.

Campus tours, a meet and greet with nonprofit leaders and elected officials, food trucks, a balloon twister for the kids, and sunny skies combined to create a festive mood.

“It is wonderful to see the tremendous turnout and support for Together Center’s Grand Opening,” said Together CEO Kim Sarnecki in her opening remarks. “It is reflective of the many hearts, heads, and hands that made this project possible. It has truly been a community effort!”

The new Together Center ensures that households in East King County and beyond have access to the vital services needed to achieve housing stability, health, and economic mobility for decades to come. Much more than a building, it is a place where people find the help they need at the one stop shop, obtain social services, learn new skills and where nonprofits connect, collaborate, and save vital resources.
