A new study by ECONorthwest finds “society would likely be better off without the [four Lower Snake] dams.” The report, prepared for Vulcan Inc., found the economic benefits from salmon recovery, recreation, and cost savings far outweigh the costs of removing dams, replacing electricity, and addressing irrigation and transportation.
