Trees, clouds, and water at the Mount Vernon Trail in Alexandria, Virginia

Here’s your source of March news for the Faith Alliance for Climate Solutions’ (FACS) Alexandria Hub.

Action Priorities

Residents from over 12 congregations and others non-affiliated but interested in climate action gathered at our virtual January and February meetings. We identified priorities for action this spring and summer:

  • Building inclusive and equitable dialogue and action on climate change in Alexandria
  • Participating in the update to the City’s Energy and Climate Change Action Plan (kicking off in April)
  • Promoting sustainability in the Landmark Mall redevelopment and new Inova medical center
  • Ensuring climate change is a priority in the City budget process underway
  • Finding opportunities for nature-based climate solutions

Help Connect Us With Other City Congregations

We continue to reach out to additional Alexandria congregations and people of faith to broaden involvement. So please spread the word and let us know (email info@faithforclimate.org) if you can help introduce the FACS Alexandria Hub to local congregations in your network.
