Early Childhood Day at the Legislature (ECDL) is less than ONE WEEK AWAY! Join the Alliance, Let’s Grow Kids, Building Bright Futures, and over 150 early childhood community members for this virtual day of advocacy, networking, and more.

This year it is easier than ever to join from the comfort of your own home or office. And in this virtual advocacy environment, it is more important than ever to take advantage of this opportunity to make sure our voices are heard!

Agenda

9:30 am – 9:55 am – Welcome and Featured Speaker

Remarks from senior state officials and co-hosts start the day, then Pollaidh Major, Outreach Representative of the Office of US Sen. Leahy, addresses the early childhood community.

10:00 am – 11:40 am – Issue Sessions

Learn about policy initiatives on the Alliance’s 2022 Legislative Agenda (attendees will be able to select two sessions).

11:50 am – 1:00 pm – Lunch with Legislators

Grab your lunch and sit down virtually with a group of other advocates from your area to talk with your legislators about the issues you care about.

1:10 pm – 1:30 pm – Debrief, Networking, and Conclusion

Connect with your peers to discuss important issues and next steps, then find out more about events in the virtual State House celebrating ECDL, and hear closing remarks from senior state officials.

Registration is now open. The deadline to register is March 4.

Through Northern Lights, 1.5 credit hours are offered for attendance. Please use the registration form to indicate if you would like to receive credits, and please be sure to include your BFIS number.

The Vermont Early Childhood Advocacy Alliance is a statewide coalition formed in 2000 of early childhood professionals, parents, organizations, businesses, and strategic partners committed to improving public policies that impact young children between birth and age eight in the areas of health, safety, food security, economic security, and early care and education.

The Alliance crafts an annual Legislative Agenda in partnership with early childhood organizations, provides year-round advocacy support, and facilitates meaningful interactions with policymakers at key times during the decision making process.
