Dear community,

President Biden has requested $105 BILLION of our taxpayer dollars to fund the U.S. war machine at home and abroad, including military funding for the Israeli government’s ethnic cleansing of Palestinians, and deadly border security policies.  

We want to fund homes and healthcare, and cancel student debt. Instead, Congress is prioritizing money for weapons and walls. Over the past 90+ days, Israeli military strikes have murdered over 23,000 Palestinians, including OVER 10,000 children.  And last year was the deadliest year on record for migrants at our southern border.

$105 Billion is the People’s Money! We firmly reject billions for ethnic cleansing and border militarization.

We demand an immediate ceasefire and that members of Congress vehemently reject the White House’s supplemental funding request.

Our communities look to the government to use taxpayer money to meet our needs, from healthcare, climate justice to education, and are often met with the same refrain: “We don’t have the money.” Yet when it comes to war, surveillance, and immigration enforcement, the resources are limitless. Militarizing our borders and incarcerating migrants has never made our communities more safe, and neither has propagating this agenda abroad.

$105 billion could do ALL of the following:

• Keeping child care centers open to serve 3.2 million children now at risk of losing care ($16 billion)

• Healthcare for 4.8 million children ($14 billion)

• 6 million public housing units ($58 billion)

• Resettle 1.4 million refugees ($7.8 billion)

• Build solar power for 23.9 million homes ($9.6 billion)
