Collaborative Practice
with Citizens of Culture

Join artist and behavioral economist Maceo Paisley for a 3-hour workshop designed to help artists or freelancers increase their ability and effectiveness at structuring and executing collaborations and partnerships with other individuals, nonprofits, government agencies, and corporate partners. Maceo will share tools and strategies to identify meaningful partnerships and negotiate collaborations. Topics include:
  • how to evaluate the potential for mutual benefit when considering a new partnership
  • clarifying roles, values, goals, and assets
  • equitable pay for all
  • intellectual property rights
  • thinking through auxiliary value (i.e. other forms of pay/benefit that make the collaboration worthwhile)
Bring questions of your own to unpack in the workshop and be prepared to role play scenarios for practical experience.
