The Center for Creative Land Recycling (CCLR) is hosting a webinar Thursday, March 7 at 11 a.m. PST that will talk about the intersections between brownfields funding and Environmental and Climate Justice (ECJ) funding. Under The Inflation Reduction Act, the ECJ funding is a $3 billion investment that aims to help underserved and overburdened communities take action and implement initiatives that support the health, wellbeing, and resilience of their neighborhoods. Each of the new funding opportunities includes eligible activities that support land reuse and brownfields redevelopment. The webinar will review how to effectively leverage ECJ funding to support community revitalization initiatives and mitigate past environmental injustices and more. This level of investment doesn’t come around every day! Join CCLR on March 7th to learn more about this invaluable opportunity! Register here: https://lnkd.in/gTejXkjQ

The National Brownfields Coalition is pleased to share that Rep. Mikie Sherrill (NJ) and Rep. Michael Turner (OH) have reintroduced the Brownfields Redevelopment Tax Incentive Reauthorization Act, a bill designed to aid developers and landowners with the costs of cleanup in contaminated sites. The brownfield tax deduction is an investment in economic development, community health, and communities marginalized by historic land use patterns and hazardous land uses. Your members of Congress need to hear from you. Whether you act individually or as an organization, your support is essential to the restoration of this vital tool that will ensure equity and environmental sustainability in communities that need it most. Tell your representatives that you support this critical piece of legislation ⤵️ https://lnkd.in/gs3WFzXn

🚨New grants available!🚨 Supporting leaders in small and mid-sized communities—in and out of government—to repair the damage of divisive infrastructure. Our new Community Connectors program will help advance locally driven projects that will reconnect communities separated or harmed by transportation infrastructure and tap available federal and state funds to support them. 15 teams from small to mid-sized cities (between approximately 50,000 and 500,000 in population) will be selected to receive a capacity-building grant to advance these projects. https://lnkd.in/e_JDy7kf
