Thank you for supporting Friendship Bridge for International Women's Day! Your purchase during this week-long virtual sale supports our mission to empower Guatemalan women to build a better life. This sale will both act as a fundraiser, with proceeds going to further that mission, and as a promotion of our work in women's empowerment. All proceeds benefit Friendship Bridge and women in rural and poverty-stricken areas of Guatemala to give them access to business capital, education, health services, and mentorship.

Celebrated on March 8, 2021, IWD is a global day celebrating the social, economic, cultural, and political achievements of women. It is a focal point in the movement for women's rights. This year, the theme of International Women's Day is "Choose to Challenge" in that a "challenged world is an alert world."

Our International Women's Day Virtual Sale supports Responsible Consumption and Production, and Climate Action, as we are focusing on the sales of upcycled local items from our Friendship Circles members, all while fundraising to support our other initiatives. Learn more.
