HB 2297 – Prohibit Early Pick-Ups as Discipline!

Issue:

Relating to prohibiting certain releases of a student, to the student’s parent, after school-initiated communication by a school district and open-enrollment charter school. The bill would prohibit school districts from contacting parents to pick-up and remove their child from campus as a form of discipline or behavior management.
