We’re Hiring – Alliance Public Engagement Director Position Now Open

The Alliance is hiring! Charlie Gliserman, our current Public Engagement Director, will be leaving the Alliance at the end of this month to start a position with Planned Parenthood of Northern New England. While this is a loss for the Alliance, we wish Charlie the best!

The role of the Public Engagement Director is to support advocacy activities that advance the mission of the Vermont Early Childhood Advocacy Alliance by coordinating the Alliance's community organizing, education, and engagement activities; providing direct advocacy support during the legislative session; and supporting membership engagement.

Legislative Agenda Application Deadline – November 16

The deadline for submission of proposals for the Alliance’s 2021 Legislative Agenda is Monday, November 16 at 12:00 pm. 

The Alliance's annual Legislative Agenda is crafted in partnership with organizations advocating for state-level policy changes to improve the lives of young children and families. The Legislative Agenda typically features a broad range of health, safety, food security, economic security, and early care and education initiatives supported by Alliance members.

Inclusion on the Alliance’s Legislative Agenda comes with many benefits, including:

  • Advocacy, communications, outreach, strategy, and other assistance from Alliance staff;
  • Increased issue visibility, including a feature at the Early Childhood Day at the Legislature; and
  • Support from the Alliance’s coalition of early childhood community members.
