WASHINGTON — Eric Hollister Williams, most recently a Precision Strategies managing principal, has joined Patagonia to head brand, equity and justice communications.

In the newly created role, Williams will lead Patagonia’s communications strategies and outreach related to advancing justice, equity and inclusion and supply chain transparency. He will focus on both internal and external communications for the apparel company, long a leader in corporate activism.

Williams joins Patagonia after two-plus years at Precision, where he worked with clients focused on health care, climate change, free and fair elections, racial equity and economic opportunity, and gun violence prevention.

Before Precision, Williams was a Fenton VP and a special projects director for Hillary Clinton’s 2016 presidential campaign.

“I’m absolutely thrilled to join Patagonia and take what I’ve learned working for foundations and in politics and bring this all to bear on a new set of issues and challenges, chief among them, protecting and preserving our planet. There is perhaps no greater mission and it will take all of us to do it. I’m very excited to join this extraordinary organization,” Williams said.
