The Alliance for American Manufacturing is thrilled to present the ninth annual Made in America Gift Guide, featuring gift ideas from all 50 states, Washington, D.C. and Puerto Rico. Our team worked hard to select an eclectic mix of companies that haven’t been featured on this list before. There are a variety of products at a variety of price points, so there’s something for everyone on your holiday shopping list!
A brand new survey from Morning Consult finds that 76% of consumers say they prefer to buy American-made products, and 81% say they would purchase more of them if they were more widely available through large retailers. This gift guide is one way to make it a bit easier for holiday shoppers to find Made in America products. Alabama
A unique blend of corn syrup, cane sugar syrup, cane molasses and pure honey, Golden Eagle Syrup has been an Alabama staple for decades. Mike Pentecost dreamed of making his own game calls since he was a child, and 20 years ago, he made that dream a reality by creating the highest-quality turkey call he could make, and hunters nationwide have been grateful ever since. Pentecost’s company, WoodHaven Custom Calls, makes deer callers and turkey calls in Heflin.
Alaska
Part of the thrill of the wilderness is being untethered from other people, but that can be risky as well. That’s why hikers, sailors, skiers, pilots, campers, hunters and all kinds of other people who enjoy the great outdoors use Greatland Laser products to stay safe. Arizona
Lifetime Leather Co. is a family-owned business, started in 2011, which offers handcrafted authentic American leather products that are guaranteed for life. The idea of Lifetime Leather started after the owner, Ty Bowman, was in a tragic accident that left him disabled for three years. In an increasingly disposable world, he wanted to create quality products that lasted a lifetime. The company offers a wide variety of bags, totes, backpacks, wallets, watchbands and so much more to tote your valuables in classic American leather style. Everything made by Lifetime Leather is carefully handcrafted in its Arizona workshop by its American workforce.
The name Karsten Solheim is legendary in the golf equipment industry and it all started with the putter he invented in 1959. Dissatisfied with the putting equipment of the era, Solheim created his own revolutionary Ping model in his Redwood, Calif. garage. It wasn’t long before Solheim had expanded his golf equipment company and moved its operations to Phoenix. Solheim passed away in 2000, but his name lives on in the annals of golf. His namesake Karsten Manufacturing continues to make not only the original Ping putter but entire sets of clubs. Some of the Ping components, such as the heads on drivers, are made offshore but return to Phoenix for final assembly. Ping has always made a strong effort to continue most of its manufacturing in Phoenix despite the fierce global competition in the golf club market.
Having called Scottsdale home for more than 40 years, Silver Star Jewelry is a family-owned business that offers handmade, one-of-a-kind items made with all-natural stones. The unique pieces of Southwestern America bling are designed and created exclusively for Silver Star Jewelry from artists in the Navajo, Hopi and Zuni Native American tribes and feature designer artists.
Arkansas

In Mystic, a town that has been deeply entrenched in seafaring and shipbuilding since 1784, Mystic KnotWork handcrafts a treasure trove of chic nautical knot-inspired goods, with everything from jewelry to pet toys to home decor. For more than 50 years, the family-owned company has been New England’s source for nautical knots. Today, the company marries traditional techniques and materials with modern nautical design. Blackkat Leather’s artisanal bags and accessories are meticulously handstitched with the highest quality materials that can be obtained, but with a reasonable $200-300 price point for most of its handbags. Though the company began in a Santa Cruz, Calif., garage studio, it is now firmly established in the picturesque New England town of Chester, where owners Cassandra and Drew Archer opened their brick-and-mortar store in 2016.
Delaware
Challenge Program Furniture was first featured in the Made in America Holiday Gift Guide in 2020, but it’s such a cool company we decided to run it back. CP Furniture’s sales support the eponymous Challenge Program, a Wilmington nonprofit founded in 1995 that teaches construction and life skills to at-risk youth. Some of the program’s graduates stay on to work in the furniture shop as apprentices, which for them means jobs and advanced training in woodworking and furniture making. The stuff they crank out is really stylish, too; tables, chairs, shelving, custom orders, and a really nice sit-stand desk.
Florida
Located in Central Florida, the Magnolia Company Farm is perfectly located with abundant sunshine and rain showers to create groves of gorgeous Southern Magnolia trees. From the harvested leaves and stems of these beautiful trees the company creates unique house decorations, including long-lasting Christmas wreaths. Now in its 20th year, the hand-made construction creates a colorful variety of designs that will dry and remain intact for many seasons to come.
When Heidi Leist was pregnant, she became an avid reader of the ingredients included in healthier food choices and skincare products. She discovered there are often many unsafe chemicals found in bath and beauty products, so she began making skincare products in her home and soon launched her company: Lemongrass Spa. It’s been 20 years, and Leist continues to offer safe, chemical-free bath, beauty and lotion products to what is known as the #lemongrasstribe. Brazilian mechanical engineer Paulo Camasmie moved to Florida in 2000 where he created the Catrike, a three-wheel, low-to-the-ground tricycle. The Catrike has received six awards for Trike of the Year and the company was named the 2008 Manufacturer of the Year with less than 100 employees by the Manufacturer Association of Central Florida. The unique three-wheelers are low-maintenance and user-friendly, especially for older riders who want to exercise outdoors while staying close to the ground to avoid a potentially serious bike tumble injury. Georgia
Gogo Jewelry has plenty of pieces for women, but it was the lineup of men’s jewelry that caught our eye, including bracelets, cufflinks, necklaces, and even rings. These nature-inspired items are suitable for almost any occasion, and can be worn daily with any outfit. Founder and designer Janet “Gogo” Ferguson is a legend in jewelry design; she even designed the wedding rings worn by John F. Kennedy Jr., and his wife Carolyn Jeanne Bessette-Kennedy.
Here’s another jewelry pick from the Peach State: Betsy Pittard Designs. The company began in namesake Betsy Pittard Hartley’s dorm room back in 2006, and now employs more than 30 women. Idaho
Go gnome for the holidays with 52 Freckles’ charming Scandinavian-style decorative gnomes. Made of repurposed wool sweaters and new wool blend felt, these handcrafted gnomes are sure to bring holiday joy wherever they’re placed. Owner Sarah Christensen also co-owns retail store Idaho Made in Boise, which features goods made by more than 60 local Idaho artists.
Memorialize a first Christmas, thank a teacher, or celebrate a favorite pastime with customizable wooden engraved ornaments from veteran-owned North Idaho Made. But if you’re looking for a statement piece from the Hayden, Idaho company that’ll put you on the map, you can’t go wrong with its specialty—3-D custom engraved lake and city map wall hangings.
Illinois
Family-owned Klein Tools has made products in the United States for over 150 years. Today, the company is known for making exceptional tools used by professionals. Klein Tools is the “only major tool manufacturer worldwide focused on electrical and utility applications,” and is thus a favorite of electricians. While some Klein Tools products are made overseas the company makes 14 times more products in the United States than in any other country, and “has never closed a manufacturing facility in the United States and sent jobs overseas, and we have no intention of doing so in the future.”
Indiana
The Hoosier Bat Company, located in northwest Indiana’s Vale of Paradise (Valparaiso) has been putting baseball bats into the hands of Major Leaguers for so long that three of them are enshrined in the Hall of Fame in Cooperstown. Founded by a former scout for the New York Yankees, you can tour this small manufacturer if you’re ever in the area to see the nearby Indiana Dunes.
We featured Carved, in Elkhart, in a gift guide a few years ago. These phone cases and wallets made from resin and wood burls are as elegant as they’ve ever been. Carved also sells smaller-batch items like rings, bracelets, pocket knives and pins, each piece with a unique design.
Iowa
Get your handmade holiday cards this year from Moglea in Des Moines. These artful handpainted cards and stationery are one of a kind and will make the perfect gift for everyone on your list. Founders Chad and Meg Gleason have teamed up to create these vibrant and quality products with a recent expansion in the last year to include furniture and home goods.
Latina-owned company, Cielo, has been in operation for over 20 years, and just last year opened its first brick-and-mortar store at Iowa River Landing in Coralville. The company’s signature Moon Warmers are the ultimate relaxation gift. Choose from a neck wrap, therapy pack or eye pillow, all of which smell heavenly thanks to a mix of chamomile, lavender, and peppermint. “Moon Warmers are made in Iowa with love by amazing local women using all natural materials and are fully compostable,” the company says on its website.
Kansas
Long before children were constantly immersed in their electronic and computerized games, they let their imaginations develop by using the simpler things in life. Now, two fathers from Andover have created the Make-A-Fort company. No batteries, no screens, no blinking lights, no screens, just thick cardboard panels that can be assembled in a variety of ways so that young children can enjoy building and playing in their own personal enclave. You can build a pirate ship one day and a princess castle the next with durable parts that can be used again and again. All panels are made from recycled cardboard.
Be Made is the brainchild of Sue Kallin and her daughter Jordan Ottley. The Hays, Kansas company features hundreds of products for the home including apparel. Many items are manufactured overseas, but Be Made also carries a large selection of Made in USA products. Our favorite items are the company’s colorful wooden matches that come in decorative glass jars. When it is time to light the fireplace or a candle to set the holiday mood, searching through a drawer for the flame-starter is no longer necessary as the glass jars with cork ball tops make decorative items to display in your living room while providing easy access. These wooden matches make a great stocking stuffer.
Kentucky
Almost all of the world’s Post-It Notes are manufactured in Kentucky, at 3M’s facility in Cynthiana, where the company also manufactures Scotch Package Protection Tapes — which are perfect for shipping all those holiday gifts. Post-It Notes make for a great stocking stuffer.
The Capitol Performance Bicycle Company makes custom bicycle frames that are unique to each client. The company uses the client’s body measures to begin, and frame sizing is designed for each client’s exact needs. Every bicycle is unique.
Ahhh! Fruitcake! What would the holidays be without it? Curate a heavenly spread this season with Gethsemani Farms’ handmade Kentucky Bourbon Fruitcake and fudge. The Abbey of Gethsemani, a community of Roman Catholic monks in Trappist, Kent., has made the treats since the 1950s in the Trappist tradition. Its prize-winning fruitcake is loaded with natural fruits and nuts for rich, deep flavor, and its fudge is hand-stirred in a copper kettle to achieve an old-fashioned creamy texture. The sale of Gethsemani Farms’ goods is the monastery’s sole source of support, so surely there can be no sin in these sweets!
Louisiana
Tchoup Industries makes a number of giftable accessories, including handbags and backpacks. But we’ve got our eye on the company’s Insulated Drink Holder, which is made of recycled fabric, water resistant, and durable — and will keep those holiday beverages cold.
The signature scents of woman-owned Smoke Perfume are made with ethically sourced, all-natural ingredients and sustainable packaging. Worried about purchasing perfume online when you can’t smell it? Maine
The handbags from Alania Marie are inspired by the sea, and even made with the same marine-grade materials as lobsterman’s bait bags. But these bags have a whole lot of style, and the company’s Digital Design Bar allows you to customize your look.
“Built by Freedom – Made in America” is a great way to introduce Origin Maine, which sells durable goods designed to stay with you for the long run. The company offers a range of American-made products for the outdoors lover on your list, from jeans and boots to hunting gear to even jiu-jitsu gis. The high-quality toys and teasers from Dr. Pussums are an ideal gift for all the cat-lovers in your lives. Maryland
Designed, printed and assembled in the Pigtown neighborhood of Baltimore, Write Notepads & Co. deluxe notebooks are the product of three generations of bookmaking and finishing knowledge. The company sets out to put that expertise to use in making the best notebook it possibly can with a sophisticated, contemporary aesthetic. As an added bonus, Write Notepads & Co. uses vegetable-based inks and other environmentally friendly materials. While the company’s notebooks and planners are of perennial value, its Experience Journals for coffee, whiskey, beer, and cannabis tasting notes stand out as especially giftable items. When Matt, Pat, and Sam each began their recovery from alcohol and drug addiction in 2014, the three friends sought to channel their energies into a new endeavor. The company makes an array of fabric products at its factory in Fall River, and puts an emphasis on the quality of what it turns out. New England – and specifically, Lawrence – has a long and rich history of textile manufacturing, and Lawrence Trousers is the latest result of that. These aren’t cheap, but if you like to dress well, you’ll have a hard time finding a better product. Made in Lawrence. These trousers can’t be beat.
There are plenty of mountains to ski on the East Coast, and Parlor Skis will build you the specific equipment you need to shred on any of them – or anywhere else, for that matter. This manufacturer in East Boston keeps customization in mind for all of its ski and snowboard products. You can even build your own, with their artisans’ direction, in their factory. Michigan
Founded in Detroit in 1903, Pewabic Pottery is one of the oldest operating potteries in the country. It remains an active working pottery, architectural tile studio and ceramic arts education center housed in a National Historic Landmark building on the Motor City’s near east side. Its 50 employees continue to churn out beautiful handmade tiles and ceramic art. In addition to its historic collections of tiles and pottery, you can also order custom-made pieces. Mackinac Island is the small bucolic tourist destination located in the Great Lakes region that separates Michigan’s Upper Peninsula residents (Yoopers) from the Lower Peninsula or Mitten citizens (trolls, as in below the five-mile long Mackinac Bridge). Known for its relaxed atmosphere as a small piece of land where transportation is by horse and buggy or walking (no cars allowed!), it is a favorite summertime destination that is home to the legendary Grand Hotel. But no visitor escapes Mackinac without their fill of the island’s famous fudge. Mississippi

The company was started by three lifelong friends and natives of Tupelo, whose lives took different directions but came back together to make jewelry.
Southern Sisters Gourmet makes a culinary line of blends and mixes to provide a boost in the kitchen. The company offers a selection of giftable items, but be sure to check out these beautiful Mississippi Mud Brownies, a festive treat for the holiday season.
We featured Laurel Mercantile on our guide last year, and HGTV stars Ben and Erin Napier are certainly capable of generating their own publicity. But we had to be sure to include the company’s new butcher boards and blocks anyway, since they are made at the Scotsman Co.’s new factory in Laurel, which opened about a year ago. Bravo to the Napiers for continuing to use their celebrity to highlight the importance of American manufacturing, and putting their money to good use.
Missouri
The wooden block sets from American Toyworks and Timberworks Toys are heirloom quality toys designed to encourage play and creativity. The company makes building block sets, dollhouses, and even kid-appropriate furniture. The brand is part of Traditions in Woodworking Inc., which makes custom cabinets and furniture. Reader Pick
Henschel Hat Company offers a wide selection of American-made hats, from bucket hats to cowboy hats and more. Company founder Joe Henschel began making hats in 1945, and the company officially launched in 1947. While some styles are imported, the majority of production still takes place in the United States. Montana
Santa baby, please bring all the darling Montana-made, organic baby clothes under the tree! Alpine Baby Co. is a small, family-run business, manufacturing a variety of goods including clothing, adorable knit winter hats, moccasins, toys, teethers, art prints, and so much more for babies, toddlers and pre-schoolers. Nebraska
Aria Rose Bath Co.‘s bath bombs, soaks and steamers offer the chance to relax this holiday season, as you’ll know the ingredients in the products you’re using are natural and safe. Owner Dee makes all of the company’s bath wares in small batches alongside her little sidekick, company namesake Aria Rose. These luxury bath goods provide a soothing escape, perfect for the hustle and bustle that December tends to bring.
Crafted in O’Neill, Handlebend is more than a copper shop with timeless copper mugs — co-owners Michael Stepp and Matt Dennis strive to promote community. “They give you an excuse to gather and share stories,” the company says. “They are built for the campfires and kitchen tables of America.” Stepp started the business by designing and building his first mug from copper scraps in his father’s refrigeration shop, and the hand-built mugs the company makes today are built to last. Las Vegas-based Delaney Rings specializes in making unique bands of the highest quality, backed with a lifetime warranty. The brand’s stone, carbon fiber, or wood inlaid rings would be a unique wedding band, and the company’s art engraved rings make for great gifts.
New Hampshire
Can’t wrap your arms around your loved one this holiday season? Send a hug their way with woman-owned and -operated Hug Patrol’s weighted blankets. Though its cozy, weighted blankets are Hug Patrol’s signature items, the company offers a vast array of shapes and sizes of comfort products, including computer arm rests, shoulder wraps, eye masks, and even a pocket-sized stress reliever. Frankly, we couldn’t figure out why the brand hadn’t previously been included in this gift guide. If you are looking for iconic greeting cards that are replicas of original paintings of refined animal images, Lori Faye Bock has packets of greeting cards available just in time for the holiday season. New York
The knives made by Cutco are “guaranteed forever.” The company, which is represented by the United Steelworkers (USW), has been more than for 70 years at its factory in Olean. Virginia native Emily Diehl studied printing and painting before moving to Brooklyn in 2010. There, she established Au Retour, which takes sketches from her paintings and turns them into screen prints and patterns for fabric. Au Retour’s pillows and fabrics are made in small batches, printed on “natural cotton and linen blends with non-toxic water-based inks and fiber reactive dyes,” and everything is hand-sewn in New York.
Gravitas is a size-inclusive brand dedicated to serving the women who wear its clothing, offering garments of functional elegance made in New York City’s legendary Garment District. Deborah Thompson launched Shop Simply NC in 2014 as a way to market her family vineyard’s 100% muscadine juice, but it quickly turned into a hub where entrepreneurs across the state could sell their exclusive products. Specialty gourmet food goods, local honey, handmade crafts, books, soaps, and works of are among the unique, handmade and homemade items offered by Shop Simply NC, which exude North Carolina innovation. Badlands Shaving Co. is the quintessential family business. Melvin Faris drew on years of experience in construction and an interest in woodturning to start a business selling craft razor handles, which he produces with his son. His wife does the engraving on each piece, along with the company books and quality control. All is handmade, individually produced, and Faris takes time to search out interesting pieces of wood to give every product a unique look. “We do not use any duplicating methods,” he explains on their website. Everything sold at Badlands Shaving is one of a kind.
Ohio
MishMoccs’ darling handmade leather baby and toddler moccasins caught our eyes, but the company’s commitment to supporting veterans through employment and donation put some extra heart behind the brand. Designed to meet the American Academy of Pediatrics’ recommendations, MishMoccs’ soft-soled shoes promote healthy foot development and come in a rainbow of colors and patterns. The company’s sheep shearling limited edition moccasins are an especially cozy gift for early walkers this winter. Founded in 2016, Simplay3 may seem like a relative newcomer in the toy industry, but the company half a century of experience behind it. Founder Tom Murdough, who was inducted into the Toy Industry Hall of Fame in 2020, is also responsible for the creation of iconic toy brands Little Tikes and Step2. Steve and Patty Rogers bring a combined 50 years of experience in the stone coaster industry to USA Coasters, which makes start-to-finish American-made absorbent stone coaster sets to keep your furniture safe from drinkware. The company has a variety of collections to choose from, and you can have custom coasters printed, too. It’s a neat product at a good price, and the reviews rave about the customer service.
Oregon
The colorful, sustainable home essential products made by woman-owned Marley’s Monsters in Eugene are both giftable and practical. The company’s reusable sponges, napkins and snack bags are a great addition to any kitchen, and the brand also makes a variety of reusable bath and beauty items (check out the facial rounds!), along with laundry care. But Marley’s Monsters is perhaps best known for its Unpaper Towels.
Pendleton has operated woolen mills in its namesake Pendleton and nearby Washougal, Wash., for more than 100 years, producing fabrics for apparel and home products like blankets. While the company imports some products — check that country of origin label — it maintains an eclectic mix of Made in USA blankets and throws that make a perfect gift.
Pennsylvania
The outdoor furniture and home and garden products made by Highwood USA offer quality and sophisticated style. The company’s ultra-low maintenance Outdoor Living products are uniquely made with high-grade poly, an incredibly durable and realistic alternative to real wood, and designed to stay outside all year long. Highwood USA furniture can also be customized by color.
Emsco Group makes over 16 product lines, from winter products like sleds, snowboards, shovels, and scrappers to cleaning products to furniture and outdoor accessories. Emsco Group, which is represented by the United Steelworkers (USW), also makes Christmas tree stands. Reader Pick
As the oldest hat maker in America, Bollman Hat Co. is known for innovation, high quality, and world-class service. While not all of Bollman’s products are Made in USA — be sure to check the country of origin label! — the company does manufacture a number of its products stateside, including some hats in its popular Kangol brand.
Puerto Rico
Family-run artisanal soap company Caribbean Soaps has manufactured handcrafted soaps and bath products in Puerto Rico since 2001. Everything is made in the company’s shop in San Juan using local ingredients, and it’s cut, poured and packaged using the traditional cold-process method.
Rhode Island
Orange Cat Candle Co. gets its name from the feral cat that founder Samantha Lebeau adopted in 2015, right around the time she started making candles in her kitchen. Today, Mr. Field serves as the face of the brand, and Lebeau makes the candles. Orange Cat offers a number of holiday-themed candles, along with its Apple Harvest Candle, which is infused with essential oils like cinnamon, nutmeg, clove, orange and cedarwood.
Looking for an at-home workout alternative to Peloton? For more than 30 years, WaterRower has manufactured stylish and sleek rowing machines that offer a surprisingly intense total-body workout. Made in the small coastal town of Warren, from sustainably sourced Appalachian hardwoods, these rowers are elegant additions to the home. Designed in the 1980s by Yale and US National Team Rower John Duke, WaterRower currently has a staff of more than 250 employees in 15 global offices. However, the company remains committed to manufacturing all of its products in Warren.
South Carolina
If you love your dog and treat your canine like family, you certainly can’t leave your furry friend off of your holiday shopping list. Snoozer pet products makes fashionable, long-lasting dog beds, dog seats, pet carriers and other products that will make your pet feel just like one of the family. South Dakota

The family business really took off in 2020 when Karl left his job as a history teacher in pursuit of creating and researching tinsmithing. The company uses tinplate made in Chicago and Pennsylvania to ensure the highest quality goods.
Tennessee
“Build It Like Your Own,” reads a banner across Jackson Kayak’s factory floor in Sparta. The leading manufacturer for whitewater kayaking, recreational paddling, fishing, and more has been around since 2003 under the guidance of some of kayaking world’s top minds but remains family-run. Note that though not all of the company’s goods are Made in USA. However, Jackson’s plastic shells for its kayaks are made at its Tennessee facility, and the company aims to achieve greater and greater self-sufficiency every year. Currently, they employ roughly 120 workers at its 100,000 square-foot facility, and Jackson Kayak continues to expand its domestic production lines to items like premium coolers and pet kennels.
What could be better than waffles for breakfast? Answer: Cast-iron-cooked waffles imprinted with America’s beloved stars and stripes! For almost three decades, Tony Hester dreamed of making his own waffle iron. Finally, in December 2021, he synthesized his years of collecting antique cast iron waffle irons and cooking waffles for his family to manufacture Appalachian Cast Iron Co.’s Great American Waffle Iron in Tennessee. Nashville Wraps is a wholesale distributor of packaging products for gifts, gourmet and retailer businesses, but also sells wrapping paper, gift bags, and other goods to the public on its website. About 77% of its packaging products are Made in the USA, and it also offers custom printing. The company promises to ship orders within one business day.
Texas
The makeup playsets made by Klee Naturals are advertised as 100% non-toxic, made without parabens, phthalates, or synthetic fragrances. But Klee Naturals makeup kits do encourage fun, allowing your little ones to pretend to be anything from a scary monster to a princess. The company also sells tween makeup sets, along with hair and bath products.
Ruddock Shirts got its start back in 1955, when Leslie Ruddock moved his young family from California to El Paso, Texas and began making shirts in a flourishing garment district. Most of that local apparel manufacturing is now gone, but the original Ruddock Shirts factory remains. Today, the company offers a variety of button-up men’s shirts, including its popular Flying R Ranchwear. Reader Pick
The heavy duty cast iron cookware made by Fredericksburg Cast Iron Co., are 100% Made in Texas, handcrafted in the heart of Hill Country and designed to last a lifetime.
Utah
Campers will love the tents from Springbar USA, which range in sizes from compact 6’x8′ to family campers at 10’x14′. The brand makes its tents in small batches at its workshop in Salt Lake City, which has been its home city since 1944, when founder Jack Kirkham Sr. bought the AAA Tent & Awning shop and began making canvas goods. The company has changed buildings and even names in the decades since, but continues to manufacture tents in the Beehive State. But check that label, as Springbar also sells imported models.
From Draper comes Lashbrook Designs, a jewelry maker that specializes in men’s rings and wedding bands. This company started off 20 years ago in a Utah garage; today it’s an award-winning brand, based in a state-of-the-art facility that specializes in the use of contemporary metals like titanium, carbon fiber and Damascus steel. It’s really beautiful stuff.
The holder of the first patent for an adjustable basketball pole on the market, Lifetime is about more than just hoops. It makes folding chairs, picnic tables, garden equipment, sheds, playground equipment, and even kayaks. While not all of its products are Made in the United States, a lot of them are – and the company advertises on its website a commitment to accurate labeling. “Made in the U.S.A.,” for instance, will only appear on products that are 100% American-made. Its mold-blowing facility in Utah is among the largest plastics factories in North America. So buy a domestically manufactured basketball hoop and start practicing windmill dunks.
Vermont
Looking to stock up ahead of the impending cold temperatures? Then grab a balaclava made by Skida, which makes hats, scarves and other wintertime gear. Rock these fashionable winter accessories on the slopes, while you’re outside taking a walk, shoveling, or any winter activity that requires warmth.
Straight from Vermont comes this well-crafted maple syrup from the Vermont Country Store. Pour some on your holiday dishes, or pick it up as a hostess gift.

It is hard to find an American company that makes men’s dress and casual shirts and most of Ledbury’s business is manufactured overseas. However, in 2015 the company revived one of America’s oldest bespoke shirtmakers and today carries century old tailoring at its Richmond workshop where master craftsman make shirts by hand. For that truly fine-fitting tailored shirt that is made in the USA, Ledbury’s takes custom orders at its Richmond location and the result is a luxurious fit and feel.
Transform your shower into an aromatic spa experience with luxurious shower steamers from Thulisa Naturals. Founder Anusha Moodley is from a small town on the East Coast of South Africa and aims to bring the calming power of nature into her products. District native Yolanda Spears, while attending the Corcoran School of Art to study photography, instead discovered a love for ceramics. Its goods are stylish and sustainable, but Mountain Mindful’s social enterprise mission is what really warrants your attention. The brand hires people “who face barriers to unemployment (such as Substance Abuse Disorder or former Coal-Economy workers)” to model West Virginia’s post-coal future. Its employees, or “crew members,” earn an Associate’s Degree at the end of their 2.5-year contracts with a unique work-school hybrid program. Every week, crew members participate in 33 hours of paid work, six credit hours of higher education, and three hours of personal development mentorship. Take the guess work out of gift-giving by purchasing a Mountain Mindful holiday bundle for various interests, such as cooking.
Morgan Rhea’s luxury leather accessories are handmade from start to finish in the company’s South Charleston studio and come in three signature colors: a deep red/brown, a gray with a bluish tint, and a brown with slight orange tint. Husband-and-wife team, Michael and Morgan, both graduates of the Savannah College of Art, launched their business in 2015, shortly after Morgan finished an internship with iconic American accessories brand Coach. Since Morgan Rhea’s founding, Michael and Morgan’s bags have been featured twice in British Vogue. Note that Morgan Rhea’s leather is hand-antiqued in the studio but sourced from a family tannery in Brazil.
Wisconsin
Sunny Day Designs is a woman-owned business located in Madison featuring a line of colorful, cheerful products that are meant to spread sunshine and smiles. Owner Shelley Schmidt is committed to being eco-friendly, and all of her products are made in the USA, mostly from USA materials. Sunny Day Designs’ entire range of sewn fabric items is manufactured by a group of independent seamstresses in the USA. Check out the company’s vinyl stickers as a stocking stuffer, or kitchen tea towels for the perfect host gift. Sunny Day Designs also offers organic baby blankets and hat sets for that new bundle of joy in your life.
Thorogood boots are a classic — they’ve been around for over 130 years. The company is deeply rooted in American history, as they equipped the U.S. Army during both world wars, and they could do it again today, as some styles are compliant with the Berry Amendment. We’re featuring the brand’s most iconic style this year, the American Heritage Tobacco Moc Toe, which was born in 1960, became the official Boy Scouts of America boot, and is still one of the company’s most popular styles today. Not only would this be a great gift for the hard worker on your list, but really for anyone wanting a stylish boot that is going to stand the test of time. While some of Thorogood’s styles are imported (check that label!), this style is Made in the USA (with USA and globally sourced components), and they’re union-made, by UFCW Locals 688 and 717.
The very giftable shot glasses from BenShot are made at a re-purposed furniture factory in rural Wisconsin that once was owned by Thomas Edison. The brand specializes in making shot glasses with objects embedded into the side, and clientele includes everyone from the FBI to the NHL. Of note: BenShot won a four-year legal battle in October against a company that made a similarly designed shot glass in China and advertised it as Made in the USA. Serve your cutout cookies on one of Epicurean‘s boards, and you’ll be sure to get a compliment. Better yet, wrap one up for the foodies on your list. Epicurean was born in 2003 when its owners decided to make cutting boards as holiday presents from leftover material from their skatepark construction company — a paper composite material used to build more than 450 skateparks across the USA. Epicurean has been making cutting boards and kitchen utensils in Superior ever since, although we’ll note a small amount of silicone components and nylon utensil heads are sourced from China.
Door County Candle Co. has been pouring candles since 1993 in Door County, and is dedicated to providing a high-quality product that smells amazing and helps many people relive memories of time spent in Door County. In addition to their famous jar candles, the company is also known for its “candles for a cause,” including its Ukraine Candle, which has raised over $800,000 for the nonprofit organization Razom for Ukraine. Owner Christiana Gorchynsky Trapani, who is 100% Ukrainian, told Fox11 the goal is to raise $1 million.
Fencing? For toddlers? If you’ve never had small kids, it might sound a little ridiculous. But if you’ve had them you’ll appreciate being able to cordon off a part of a room, staircase or doorway.
