Outdoor Skills Series: Intro to Fly Fishing 1

JOHNSON COUNTY EDUCATION PROGRAMS, Johnson County

Thursday, July 21, 2022

Location TBD, dependent on water levels If you have always wanted to learn to fly fish but don’t know where to start, this program is for you. Dust off your rod and reel or use one of ours. Learn the parts of the rod, reel, and line, a bit about different types of flies, and basic fly rod/reel casting. Then dip a line in the water and see if you can catch a fish! Space is limited; a second program will be offered on August 11 to accommodate more people. Sign up for only one of the two.

Registration closes 24 hours in advance. If you are fully registered, you can expect to receive an email "receipt" from MyCountyParks after registration. You will also receive an email from the leading naturalist a couple days in advance of the program. If you do not receive these emails, you may not be registered; call 307-760-9233 for assistance in this case. JCC is committed to providing equal opportunity for participation in all programs, services and activities. We welcome and encourage people with disabilities to attend programs and events. Accommodations for persons with disabilities may be requested by contacting naturalist staff at 319-645-1011 or jccnaturalists@gmail.com.
