EVENT BACKGROUND SOUL RYEDERS became the organization it is today due to the many individuals who participated and raised funds in the Avon39 walk in NYC for many years. As we grew, we supported participation and peer-to-peer fundraising with our community in many other events already in place, such as the Westchester Triathlon and the Making Strides Walk. At the same time, Adrian Deen, a local Rye father and member of SOUL RYEDERS Board of Directors, fundraised and ran his own half marathon in memory of his beautiful wife, April. He garnered a lot of interest from many who wanted to join him and through our collective history and commitment from a dedicated team of April's friends, all the components came together for us to create our own event to honor all those impacted by cancer and celebrate our community. |

SOUL RYEDERS is committed to providing a space for all genders, races, abilities, ages, and backgrounds. We are focused on the health and well-being of all our participants to come together for a day to achieve our individual goals and create a connected community of awareness and honor of those affected by cancer. |
