Washington Draft Stakeholder Report on Lower Snake River Dams

We need people from around the Northwest to give feedback

Call Out NW Fracked!

This fall, Governor Inslee began interviewing stakeholders from around the Pacific Northwest to gather information about the Lower Snake River dams and their effects on communities,  salmon, orcas, and the environment. The draft report, released on December 20, attempts to summarize diverse perspectives and identify necessary transitions if and when we remove the four Lower Snake River dams. Now, it’s your turn to tell Governor Inslee what you think about Snake River dam removal.

Restoring the Lower Snake River is essential to rebuild endangered salmon and steelhead populations, feed starving orcas, and restore the benefits that salmon provide to people and ecosystems across the Northwest. With thousands of miles of prime habitat upstream from these dams, this is one of the best restoration opportunities in the nation.

This is a critical opportunity to tell Governor Inslee and the State of Washington what you think about Lower Snake River dam removal. Here  are several ways to ensure your voice is heard:

Attend the Lower Snake River Stakeholder Workshop on January 9th in Vancouver, WA. Join the conversation and learn more about the issue. The workshop will begin with a presentation of the draft report. Experts representing diverse interests will then give short presentations, followed by a moderated Q&A discussion.
